Research interests: Applied molecular engineering. Building organised molecular multilayered architectures using a wide range of materials including monomeric & oligomeric porphyrins, calixarenes, rare earth containing complexes, polyethers & other polymers. Applications include toxic inorganic gas sensing, organic vapour detection, heat sensing, production of thiol-coated gold nanoparticles, ultra-thin film deposition of unmodified polymers.
